Assistant Legal Cashier required to deal with all aspects of Legal Cashiering up to and including year end. To include - Checking & approving completion statements, Back recs, Petty Cash, Client & Office receipts & payments, Billing, Nominal Posting, Ordering Stationery, Purchase Ledger, Sage salaries, Banking, Archiving, VAT returns, Transfer payments (CHAPS & BACS), File end of Year PAYE returns online, Maintain nominal account budgets, Maintain fee earner budgets & Maintain & shop for stocks of essentials - tea, coffee etc!
The Assistant would be expected to be fully able to cover Office Manager position. Preparing management account reports for Partners, all aspects of Office admin such as ordering letterheads, arranging quotes for various insurances and taking sales calls.
HR responsibilities: Provision of contracts, maintain holiday chart, arrange holiday cover, arrange appraisals, maintain parking passes for staff & ensuring sick & holiday policies are adhered to etc.
The successful candidate needs to be competent & numerate and have at least 5 years experience in legal accounts.
